Aleksandar Bjelosevic Wins Washburn Guitars/W:O:A Metal Battle Riff Contest 2010

Chicago, IL, July 2010. Musicians from the largest and loudest venues to the smallest most secluded practice rooms in the world recognize Washburn Guitars as some of the finest instruments made today. As part of the Wacken-Universum, W:O:A Metal-Battle has become a very strong name in the worldwide metal music scene, supporting the future generations of heavy metal and rock musicians. In 2008 Washburn and W:O:A Metal-Battle teamed up to launch the first Riff Contest at Wacken Open Air 2008 to promote undiscovered guitar talent and search for the ultimate guitarist. This year they did it again, hosting another great Riff Contest and challenging talented shredders worldwide to show off their skills for a chance to win great prizes including a Washburn USA Custom Shop XM Series guitar.

This year, Washburn Guitars and W:O:A Metal Battle congratulate the rocker that stood out above the rest, Aleksandar Bjelosevic, a passionate and extraordinarily talented guitarist from Bosnia. In addition to becoming the proud owner of the Washburn USA Custom Shop XM Series guitar and two VIP tickets for W:O:A 2010, where he will play his original, contest winning riff live onstage, Bjelosevic can call himself the ”Riff King 2010”.
