Centurian

Evo jedan Bend koji se meni svidio na prvo slusanje. Neka mjesavina Powera,Trasha i malo Deatha! Evo dobio sam ovaj album (non plus ultra). Trebate ovo poslusati ako vec niste! Evo mala recenzija albuma sa neta :
They play a tried and tested to the death Power Metal sound with occasional glimpses of Thrash. Not that it is not well played Power Metal but there are a whole host of other bands out there that do it much better. And the albums cover is surely the most absurd I've seen in a long, long time.
Opening track "Maximum Golgotha" kicks off proceedings with an almighty Metal thump. Stuck firmly in 80's Metal the verse riff is just a rip off from The PRIEST'S Painkiller. Vocally the singer strains between Halford and Ripper Owens but not that effectively as he does over do things a bit. "M.A.S." is a good song. It opens with a great, pile driving riff that pounds along but still it's very JUDAS PRIEST a la "Jugulator" period. The title track "Non Plus Ultra" is strong, hard-hitting Metal and fair belts along but doesn't set the world on fire. "Panzer March" (great song title!) opens with a riff straight from METALLICA's "Eye Of The Beholder" and quickly settles down into a SLAYER-ish vocal line. Again nothing sensational but there again I don't think CENTURION are on a quest to change Metal history. The rest of the album delivers standard Metal fare: Crunching riffs and shrilling vocals. "Roma Caput Mundi" has actually got something going for it. A keyboard intro matched with a slow, doomy melodic riff, very CANDLEMASS, which breaks into some gentle acoustic playing. However the vocals are nothing short of appalling and the song suffers all the more for it.
