moćni njujorški trojac je zasjenio ekstremnu Doom Metal scenu svojim trecim albumom 'The Trident'. sjajna kombinacija najizopacenije verzije Sludge Doom Metala sa uptempo Crust/Black Metal dionicama na momente popraceno velikim zidom buke a sve zacinjeno masnim layerima droning gitare gosp. Lipynsky-og. momci su odlicno ispekli zanat kod 'onog' okultnog Celtic Frost-a, onog nojzerskog Neurosis-a, onog opresivnog i agresivnog Grief-a i naravno nikako čorba ne ide bez Darkthrone-a (ili ovako...“Imagine Winter covering Darkthrone’s Panzer Faust” (Stephen O’Malley - Sunn 0))), Khanate, Lotus Eaters)". prije Tridenta su izdali dva albuma, 'In The Red' (2004.) i 'Season of Seance, Science of Silence' ('SoSSoS' 2003.) za Rise Above Records, par demoa i singlica od kojih je vjerovatno za njihov sadasnji status najzasluznija 7' za Southern Lord-u koja ih je ujedno i 'probila'.

bend čine tri clana:

Rion Lipynsky – Guitar / Vokills / Noise
Jay Newman – Bass / Noise
Darren Verni – Wardrums

sviraju odlican Doom Metal, kult su i vole okultno, treci album se zove 'The Trident' a logo im je trozubac. koga interesuje kako to sve zvuci u paketu, Relapse je napravio kul e-card pa bujrum...

imam samo Season of Seance, Science of Silence, i to odskoro i moram rec da sam zadovoljan, unatoc tome sto je materijal neujednacen, dakle varira od odlicnih i orginalnih do preisfuranih folova
