"It is with the most extreme honor possible that Southern Lord proudly announces a new partnership with: EARTH!!
EARTH has long been one of the primary influences of many Southern Lord artists, including the inspiration of the formation, sound, theory, and execution of sunn0))). Over the last 10+ EARTH has had a mysterious and abstruse career.
Despite a multitude of entanglements EARTH released 4 classic album on Sub Pop records in the early to mid nineties. They have left their own unique stamp on modern music and are without question the fore-fathers of drone music.

EARTH 2004 (and beyond) consits of group founder: Dylan Carlson on guitar and Adrienne Davies (percussion). The duo is stronger
and more determined then ever before, with many shows already performed in the USA, and Europe along side supporters such as: SUNN 0)), KHANATE, WHITEHOUSE, KK Null etc.. A collection of early recordings ("sunn amps and smashed guitars") and extremely limited vinyl releases have surfaced over the last 4 years. Not until now will a entire album of new, unreleased, unheard material be forthcoming from EARTH.

EARTH will enter the studio in January 2005 to record their debut album (the first new studio album in 9 years!) for Southern Lord. Dylan and Adrienne are very enthusiastic that after a long hiatus, brand new material will finally become available.
To say we are ecstatic would be a severely gross understatement! Signing EARTH, and being able to unleash their material is
among the most exciting events to ever happen to SOUTHERN LORD!!!!

A sad egzistencijalno pitanje, posto su se Earth vratili, sta ce Anderson, SOMA, Ritter i Csihar sa svojim mezimcetom?

Po meni nema za njih egzistencijalnog pitanja, sa white1/white2 su postali totalni kult sa malom armijom doomera-noisera ispranih mozgova, zednih vinila u duginim bojama...

ja jedan od tih...

Jebo Sunn0))), Jesu, i sve vase postrokeraj eksperimente, Hex ih je ostavio dobrano iza se.

Genijalan album, za bilo koga kome Floyd, Moriccone, i Sabbath nesto znace. Tuga nevidjena. Jebo tekst kakav je omot, tekstovi ti ne trebaju...

oduvjek sam bio parcijalan prema juznjackim afinitetima, naravno ne juznjackim afinitetima tipa usrana Alabama, Crowbar il BLS...vec Delta Blues-u, kojeg Carson ovdje vjesto kalemi na nepretenciozno oslikavanje rane Sjeverne Amerike.

trebo bi poslusat, vjeruj mi. hex, al iz devedes pete.. provaljeno od strane ambientalaca sa sl-a, tj. zagarantovano dobro..

@KV, pa nisam ni pomislio poredit sa Earthom, vec u zamjenu za DMOST, u slucaju da ti se ne svidi.. drones a la guillotine..

eo jedan odlican sajt za fanboje i kolekcionare na kome mozete naci info o komplet diskografiji Earth-a, od oficijelnih izdanja, butlega, kompilacija, videa, broja pressinga, boja vinila, datuma izdavanja itd itd..

čuh da imaju novi album!

ja skoro nabavio EARTH / SUNN O))) - Angel Coma split iz 2006. dobar je, u starom fazonu oba benda. najvise mi od EARTH lezi Hex LP, iako nije tipican EARTH zvuk... ipak ubija.

Earth svira klasike u ''Hex'' fazonu.. meni zvuci prepredobro!
