Battle Dagorath - Ancient Wraith CD (Black Metal)
Cold Dimensions proudly presents the 2nd full length opus from Battle Dagorath “Ancient Wraith.” The follow-up to their acclaimed debut, “Ancient Wraith” casts an ominous spell that solidifies Battle Dagorath’s mastery in creating Storms of Arcane Black Metal Winter Art. Harsh Wintry Realms, Cavernous & Deep barbaric wastelands sending you into a desolate and vast dimension. A Freezing embrace of the greater dark existence, Raw Black Majesty is surrounded by the haunting emptiness of the cosmos. Dark anthems to the deepest cosmic obscurity!

Ordroerir - Gotterlieder CD (Viking Metal)
A monumental piece of music has been completed! Scene-leaders and members of Thüringer Pagan Metal bands Menhir & XIV Dark Centuries have joined forces for 5 months to put onto CD the musical adaptation of the holy "Edda". There is simply no comparison to this Opus. Friends of Folk and Pagan Metal will have tears of joy.

Black Messiah - Oath Of A Warrior CD (Viking Metal)
Epic Viking Metal from Germany with melodies that resonate with pure paganism. Black Messiah combine original elements from Russian and Celtic folklore and play them with the typical instruments, like Violins and Mandolins, underlined by hard and fast Metal of course.

The Exalted Piledriver - Night Of The Unpolished Turd CD (Thrash Metal)
[This is] an 'actual' live album, on an average night in Nowheresville, Northern Ontario, Canada. Not just the jewels in the rough, cherry-picked from 23 shows in front of some other headliner's huge audience, but ONE live performance in front of a handful of true Old-school metalheads, as is reality outside of Europe!!! The Pile-barkin' and band-playin' (every race-it-like-you-stole-it mistake included) are simply 666% GIVE 'ER TO HELL!!!!!! And the sound is waay too loud and 'wrong' at ANY volume on ANY system!!!! A true speaker-shredder as only PILEDRIVER could produce!!! Yer gonna need some industrial swabs to get this aural excrement outta yer ears, trust me!!!!

Nocturnal Blood - Devastated Graves - The Morbid Celebration CD (Thrash/Death Metal)
Unrelentingly Morbid Black Death Metal, the ancient returns with his highly anticipated full-length debut "Devastated Graves - The Morbid Celebration." Deflowering the goat vulva, dripping viscous black blood, NOCTURNAL BLOOD pries open the very maw of hell itself and peers deeply into its sweltering depths: essentially, this is the sound of Devastated Graves. Pulsing, pummeling, awe-inspiring primal power... partake in The Morbid Celebration!
INFLUENCES: Beherit-Lord Diabolus-Goat Vulva, Blasphemy, Von, Demoncy, Impurity, Hellhammer, Belial

Kriticos - Dead Angels CD (Death Metal)
Edmonton, Alta.’s Kriticos, featuring Cyn Mercredi’s guttural growls and earth-shaking screams at centre stage. The four-piece female fronted act has have been working hard to spread the word to both the existing legions and potential fans who only need lend an ear. Recorded at Blood Thicker Music in their hometown of Edmonton, Alta., Dead Angels asserts eight tracks of unstoppable energy and auditory force from the very first listen. At once catchy and aggressive, Kriticos delivers a high-quality collection of in-your-fee-ace death thrash riffs, and a solid first effort that rivals most veterans of the studio.

Wotanorden - The Hands of Fate CD (Black Metal)
The Hands of Fate is a concept album about the past, present, and future of a certain Germanic Warrior who fought for his land and his folk against the forces of Christendom, and though when odds looked hopeless, the Gods led him once again onto the path of Honor and Victory! The album consists of 4 new epic tracks that take you on a journey of heathen might and perseverance, along with 3 unreleased tracks from thier times of old.

Suburban Showdown - Any Minor Inconvenience Must Be Eliminated CD (Hardcore)
Debut full-length from New Hampshire's one and only Discore band Suburban Showdown with 10 tracks of raw, political d-beat/grind on this brand new CD. Lyrically focused on the downfall of humanity based on the poor economic decisions of the public. For fans of Discharge, Minor Threat, Against Empire.

SUMMER SALE STILL ON NOW: BUY 2 GET 1 NHR RECORDS RELEASE FREE!!

Necrophobic - The Nocturnal Silence CD (Black Metal)
There are classic albums and there are cult albums. “The Nocturnal Silence” is both, one of the best early statements of the Swedish death metal uprising of the early to mid 90s. Though the album has been remastered, it still sounds great in its original form. There is nothing overly polished about it, it simply manages to retain a dark intonation that many death metal albums only wish they could have. So often we forget what the pure evil of this genre used to sound like, jaded from endless overdubbed albums with focus on technical precision to the detriment of atmosphere. The Nocturnal Silence remains a true relic of extreme Swedish metal. Recommended if You Like: ENTOMBED, SLAYER, GRAVE, DISMEMBER, OBITUARY, AMON AMARTH, UNLEASHED

Necrophobic - Darkside CD (Black Metal)
After releasing the stunning debut “The Nocturnal Silence” that took the metal world by storm all eyes were upon Necrophobic. There was an uneasy silence, bridged with a single featuring a new track “Spawned by Evil”, complete with some cool cover songs. David Parland (aka Blackmoon) was busy with Dark Funeral but returned albeit briefly, to contribute to the Necrophobic cause. Parland was not to stay with Necrophobic but musically speaking it was a nicely crafted piece of melodic and aggressive black-death that he contributed a lot too. Packed with trademark Necrophobic aggression it remains a mystery why this band appeared to fall off the radar after their critically acclaimed
debut. In the ROCKHARD TOP 25 of ALL TIME BLACK METAL CLASSICS, ESSENTIAL RECORD!!!

Wolvserpent - Gathering Strengths - Blood Seed 2CD (Black Doom Metal)
Previously known as Pussygutt, the duo of blackened psychedelic dronemetallers from Boise, Idaho changed their name to the much more ominous sounding Wolvserpent in 2010. The name is the really the only thing that changed, as the occult hypno-doom and grim, folk-stained nightmares that populated their previous albums are all intact here. This double disc from Crucial Blast collects both the Gathering Strengths Lp (Olde English Spelling Bee) and Blood Seed Lp (20 Buck Spin), both of which were previously available only on limited edition vinyl. The material has been remastered for this format, and comes in an eight-panel digipack that features both the original album artwork as well as new imagery that further compliments Wolvserpent's avant-garde witch-sludge.

Gnaw Their Tongues - L'arrivee de la Terne Mort Triomphante CD (Doom Metal)
One of the extreme metal/industrial underground's most unique bands, Gnaw Their Tongues arises again with a new album of majestic, orchestral death-terror called L'arrivée de la Terne Mort Triomphante, a series of five hymns to the death shroud, a celebration of dissolution. This Dutch one-man avant black/doom/industrial band is responsible for two of the most chilling albums of abstract heaviness to have been released in recent years (An Epiphanic Vomiting Of Blood and All The Grand agnificence Of Perversity, both from Crucial Blast), but with this new full-length, Gnaw Their Tongues peels back additional layers of it's bombastic horror to reveal moments of euphoric beauty more than we've heard on the previous albums.

Gnaw Their Tongues - All The Dread Magnifience Of Perversity CD (Black Metal)
This new album picks up where last year's An Epiphanic Vomiting Of Blood left off, this time with even more fearsome orchestral chaos and a noxious bass-assault slithering through these nine tracks of sadistic, depraved filth. Hyper-abstract black metal? Orchestral-powered avant doom? Gnaw Their Tongues continues to defy easy categorization and plunges even deeper into a black pit of cinematic horror, sexual perversion, and shapeless heaviosity. We've packaged this album in a deluxe heavyweight Stoughton tip-on gatefold jacket just like the sort that we used for the CD release of Epiphanic, and it includes a six-panel full color booklet - both the gatefold jacket and the booklet feature artwork by Gnaw Their Tongues mastermind Mories, and his artwork just gets more and more insane with each new release.

Garoted - Evil Personified MCD (Death Metal)
Anti-religious, bestial and evil Death Metal. With a DEICIDE cover. Very promising band, support!

Infernum - Taur-Nu-Fuin CD (Black Metal)
Re-issue of the long-out-of-print 1995 album. INFERNUM, whose line-up included Rob Darken (of GRAVELAND) and Capricornus (of THOR'S HAMMER and CAPRICORNUS), was one of the most promising and well-respected Polish Black Metal hordes, back in those dark, incendiary 1990s. Along with VELES and GRAVELAND, this album sits at the apex of that period and style. The album is offers truly obscure Black Metal with evil (somewhat overwhelming) keyboards and a profound mysterious atmosphere,
combined with an extremist ideology - a testament to the true believer.

Arghoslent - Arsenal Of Glory CD (Death Metal)
Arsenal of Glory was an early demo released by the band in 1996, recorded April 20th of the same year. The complete demo is included here along with six live recordings from July 18 1998 in Virginia. Originally released in 1999 with a different tracklist, this is the 2007 digipack re-release.

ABOUT: Soulstorm was formed in May of 1991 by Nick Sagias (Bass/Vocals) and David Mitchell (Guitar). Nick Sagias had just disbanded his previous band Overthrow and played in Holland’s Pestilence before realizing he needed to do something new and exciting. Soulstorm were one of the early underground pioneers in a wave of death metal with industrial overtones, sounding like a cross between Godflesh, Swans, Obituary and Celtic Frost. The duo quickly recruited John Sagias (Drums) and Rick K. (Guitar) to round out a live touring line up.
As the band gathered steam, they recorded what would be their first bit of exposure, the “Control” demo (Epidemic, 1991). Four crushing songs, sounding like no other, quickly established the band as a force in the extreme metal music scene. John Sagias decided to leave the band and move in a different musical direction and was replaced by drummer Patrick Harquail. It was at this point in time that Soulstorm was ready to release a full-length debut CD that came in the form of the highly acclaimed “Darkness Visible” (Metal Blade/Music For Nations/Epidemic) CD in 1992. Soulstorm then released their first video for the song “Disruption”, which was directed by Andrew Hunt (Sweet Karma) and was nominated for a Much Music Video Award for Best Metal Video in 1993. Many impressive live shows followed such as opening for Entombed, KMFDM, Cannibal Corpse, Grave, U.S.S.A., Malhavoc, Suffocation, Clutch, Cancer, Massacre and Milwaukee Metalfest ’93 as well as touring the United States and Canada with Sacrifice, Thought Industry and Genitorturers.
After Dave took a leave from the band in late 1993, Nick took a new approach and re-invented the bands sound with a new touring line-up, touring across Canada with Juno award winners Monster Voodoo Machine and releasing a second full length CD, “From Euphoria To Paranoia” (Cargo, 1994). After taking 1996 off, the “F.E.T.P.” line-up got back together, stripped down the sound of the band and released the “Under The Killing Sun” CD to a limited run of 1000 copies.
At the end of December 1999, Soulstorm called it quits and Nick Sagias put music on hold for the next 5 years, recording only once during that time with drummer Patrick Harquail. On and off from 2006 to 2011, Nick started laying down the foundations of what was to be Soulstorm’s 3rd full-length CD until 2011 when David Mitchell reconnected with Sagias and work properly began on CD number 3. This 3rd NEW Soulstorm release is now scheduled for release in 2012, as well as a number of tour dates throughout North America. Toronto date coming very soon!!
Stay tuned.

http://www.nhrrecordsshop.vstore.ca

We at NHR Records have worked diligently over the years to adjust to the shrinking markets and we would like to thank everyone for their support over the 8 years we were in business. Unfortunately however, our operations have been affected harder than most with the decrease in volumes and general market softness in recent years. We have done everything that we can to sustain our business, but have come to the point where no other course of action was possible.
We are officially closing our business down June 29, 2012.

Again, we would like to thank all the bands and labels we have been in contact with or partnered with over the years. We would like to also expecally thank our customers past and present for all their support! With out you there would not have been a label.

The NHR Records Crew
