RX: Imagine you could insert YOB into any concert bill anywhere in the present or past. Who else would you put on the bill?

MS: Oh, man (Laughs)! Well, I know my temptation is to bring up bands from the past. As much as there are bands I’d love to play with from back then, for YOB in 2004, I’d have to say The Hidden Hand…and Immolation. So many of my discordant riffs are heavily influenced by Immolation.

RX: I know what you mean, man! Close To A World Below was it for me!

MS: Oh, totally! I’d put that album specifically, but Immolation as a whole in the realm of the craziest, most inventive in metal at all. They’re like the Voivod of death metal. I remember the first time I heard them, instantly, I was like, “This isn’t Suffocation. This isn’t Cannibal Corpse. This is something totally different.”.

zvuce nesto kao najmetal momenti Sleepa i Electric Wizarda, bez space out rokerskih dionica pomjesano sa Burning Witch droning sladžom i vokalom koji varira od karizmaticnog oldschool (strasno me podsjeca na Chris Cornella iz Soundgardena/Audioslavea), preko kreštavog (bit ce da je Edgy59 iz Burning Witch glavna inspiracija) i standardnog sladžerskog, ala Grief. odlican doom metal with a twist koji treba slusat PRAVO GLASNO! \m/

nabavio sam ovaj zadnji, zadovoljan sam pravo i iznenadjen vokalima

covjece, probit cu zvucnike!!!

de nam ovo stavi na free zone da se skine... ovaj prvi album je nevjerovatan... komentar: UHHH

Mike Scheidt (vokal i gitara) nakon raspada YOB-a osniva bend po imenu Middian! Album je nedavno izasao "Age Eternal"! Pa eto kome se da nek poslusa !

Catharsis je prejeben, vokal odlican, ma sve sto treba jednom hasisarskom bendu

Middian's death was unfortunate, but if that band had to cease in order for YOB to be reborn, I can't mourn its passing. The Great Cessation is a masterpiece and sets the bar so ridiculously high, it's not even worth comparing other doom albums to it. Highly recommended. -Stonerrock.com

da, trebo bi više počet stavljat passove za linkove koje ostavljam

bogam ovaj zadnji ne da je opasan, neg...al vokal je malo smireniji, nema onih vratolomija više, čak me na trenutke podsjeća na onog rčmalja iz Korna
