Day 1 – May 13th 2009

So, as I promised, here is the first post about our tour. I'm currently typing in the backseat of the van, speeding through Croatia on our way to Budapest. We will spend this evening drinking in Budapest. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our only gig in Szeged that supposed to happen few days ago since I had to go on a business trip to Egypt. Big excuse to fine people of Disturbance Booking, especially Alex who tried to help us out with this Hungary gig.

I have to say all of this looks quite unreal to me – packed up van, big tour schedule, maps scattered all around the vehicle, fast food, worse weather, well, you know the deal if you're playing in a rock'n'roll band J

Our biggest problem were of course visas and documents, but we handled those problems quite successfully and here we are now – on our way to our first European tour.

We're playing Tezin in Czech Republic tomorrow, thanks to our friends from bend Geldshit. Geldshit visited Sarajevo one or two years ago and it was such a fine concert, we spend some quality time together, and no, I'm not talking about that, we were just drinking and chatting, you perverts!

Have to mention that Motherpig on this tour is in quite a different line-up. You can call it a bit old school if you like. Osa, our vocalist didn't get his passport in time, so he is off the tour, and once again, just like the old times, I will be handling vocal and bass duties. Also, we have a session guitarist, although I hate fucking words like ''session''. Guitar is played by our great friend from Zupanja, Igor Atlija aka Mr. Corpse. Igor may be a familiar face to those who support croatian underground scene and who have heard about great band called Infernal Hemeroid. Unfortunately, they're disbanded now, but the legacy continues to live in various ways, just like this one.

Maybe to use this chance to let you know about the rest of the crew...

Rapa Nui is in its standard line-up of Ensar (guitarist/vocalist), Djafir on drums and me on bass guitar and back vocals. Already told about Motherpig. We are having a great driver, guy called Mujo, we rented his services and his old trusty Mercedes van which is totally packed up, but endures punk rock pretty fine. Our mercandise and all the tech stuff is being supervised by Boris, vocalist of bosnian goregrind/porngrind band Sado Mazo. Such a nice fellow, we couldn't go out without taking him out with us.

Apart from our great friends who organised this tour for us, it is very necessary to mention Mr. Rober Simek of the Biggest Band called Malignant Tumour. Simek handled all the necessary documents or to be precise, invitation letters for all of us who needed to apply for visas. He endured our constant demands of this and that like a hero and did a really fine job, and I wouldn't be sitting in this van with my friends if it wasn't for Simek. Thanks, man!

Ok, that's it for now. We're approaching Hungarian border at the moment. I hope there will be no problems and that everything will go smoothly. Expect some more info soon enough!

Day 2 – May 14th 2009

So, we set up in a Hungary, and Budapest is fucking awesome. We found some cheap hostel for 15 € per person, and we decided to pay only for our driver so the rest of the crew can go out and have some fun. We decided to go to a local square, which is BTW private property which owner likes punks and metalheads to hang around and drink. Awesome.

One thing that is great about Budapest is that it's the center of European porn scene, which is not basically why we like it, but it's nice to know it. Alex The Drummer asked one girl in the park about the local scene and she told him: ''Why are you asking, you wanna fuck a specific girl, punk or metalhead? Many people would kill him, but he denied subliminal offer.

We stayed in a park for some time, met some interesting people, among them a guy called Jamal who basically is another piece of punk trash, just listening to reagee music. Well, when I say ''punk trash'', I mean those kind of people who are hiding their laziness behind punk attitude. Anyway...we had some more beer, and I went to sleep along Atlija and Alex in the van. We wanted to keep the van and equipment safe and also to save some money. Nermin aka Djafir, drummer of Rapa Nui and Boris, our roadie, they went for a walk around Budapest. Ensar joined Mujo The Driver in a paid hostel room. Anyway, around 5 AM in the morning, I woke up fucking freezing in the van and felt jealous of Atlija's blanket which he brought with him. Charlie Brown shit and stuff...anyway, I grabbed a sleeping bag and joined Magic Ponnies in their Magic Dance in the Dream Land until the bastard sun and Mujo came and woke me up.

To skip forward, after we packed everything up, we wanted to move out from Hungary to Cesky Tezin, our first spot on a tour map. The gig was organised by our friends from the band Geldshit.

Being a foreigner in Budapest is never easy, and being bunch of punks with one fucked up driver is even more difficult. We needed more than hour and a half to get out from Hungary and five or six more hours to arrive to Czech Tesin.

We arrived to Tezin, tried to make it to the club through the bus station parking and got busted by cops. 22 Euros ticket. Thank you very much, you fucking fucks, you could spare our asses, we don't know anything about the city.

Anyway, after we got busted and after we paid our ticket, we entered Club Liberte. Fucking awesome club, small and sweet, fine veggie lunch and cold Czech beer (Radegast brand) was waiting for us, and we kicked our asses into the world of joy.

We didn't know we will have support act, but we did. Some anarchist guy that played in a band called Tyranny of Identity (it is in Czech, couldn't get the right name) was playing acoustic guitar and singing all alone. I liked it pretty much.

Next – Rapa Nui. I finally embraced my destiny as a bass player of a punk band from Sarajevo having honor to play on Fender Bassman 70 Tube amp. Fucking beautiful. Such a sound. Combine ODB3 Overdrive and that sound will fucking rip you apart!

After Rapa Nui's great performance (bear in mind we drank bunch of beer, people said we were great), Motherpig came on the stage and what really surprised me are some people knowing our songs. It's always nice to have some ''fans'' in the crowd. Anyway, beside ''fans'', Igor Atlija, our session guitarist fucking killed his fucking guitar. He fucking ripped us all open, and feed dogs with our intestines! He also started singing back vocals (where did that come from?)and I wished for a moment Igor's college teleport to Sarajevo, so he can study in my city and became regular member. He fucking killed, such an energy.

After the great gig, we stayed at Karaoke Crust Party, everybody grabbing a mic and singing songs by Malignant Tumour and Agathocles. We met some really nice people and I kept on reminding myself that this is only the beginning of the tour and that more of it comes our way.

After KCP, we enjoyed some more drum'n'bass with distorted guitars and drank some more beers. And then...we left the club I've fallen in love in such a short time. Today – Fulnek Prefest. Five bands. And the question I ask myself now – can it get better than this? You will find out soon enough. Sit back and read on!

Day 3 – May 15th 2009

Anyway, after we left Kuba's apartment, we went for a walk with his girlfriend Judita and his daughter Nell. Nell is probably the most beautiful thing we have seen on this tour as far and will be, I'm certain, the most beautiful girl we will see on this tour. It's beautiful to see Kuba and Nell play, Kuba is a great father, if you ask me.

So, beside walking and seeing more of Tezin, we also had primary objective called ''finding new belt for steering wheel'', so Kuba suggested we go to Poland to get it. Tezin is near Polish border, and I thought we need to take the van – I didn't realize Cezin is THAT CLOSE TO BORDER that we only needed to cross the street to enter Poland. It's a nice feeling to cross the street with no passports, no borders and no bullshit cops to stop us – free roaming. So, stepped into Polish territory and went to buy a part for a car which we, luckily, found fast and cheap enough so we had some more time before going to Fulnek to grab some beer.

Old city of Cezin, twin brother of Ceski Tezin is small and sweet, so we stopped for a beer. Now, we ordered Brackie, Polish beer, and found this out...if you wanna drink, drink carefully, Polish beers are strong and they get to you quite fast, and after one liter of beer, I got so fucking drunk I barely could stand on my legs...

Skip forward, we're in the van, looking for Fulnek, having a bit of the problems of finding the right path, but finally we arrived. We needed to play in this venue that is basically like a village council house and this kinds of clubs I rarely meet and I find them quite attractive. We met our organizer Marcel who did a fucking awesome job on cooking HELL STEW for us. Veggie food, but completely and utterly awesome. Liked it very much. So, we ate and I went for a sleep, while Ensar and Atlija played Worms video game on our laptop and the rest of the crew got drunk.

Later, I watched awesome bands Veto and Pipi Dupu kicking the shit live. Awesome bands, and still demo, which I find bad enough, because I wanted to get some music on CD or tape.

Rapa Nui got on stage and we played pretty fucking fast, even for our own fast standards. Crowd enjoyed it, but they were unmoveable. Well, suit themselves. Motherpig came next and although I was a bit weaker than yesterday, I think I made it through in pretty decent fashion. Yesterday, crowd went nuts on GG Allin's Bite It You Scum, and today they went crazy during cover song of Impetigo, The One Called Boneyard. I spoke to people about the show and song and realized none of them know what song it is, but they all said they liked ''old school grindcore'' feeling in it.

After the show, some domestic spirits made Ensar vomit and the rest of us happy, so here we are now, in our hostel, second day is behind us and I will sleep in clean sheets and bed. That's fucking awesome...Ceska Trebova, here we come!

Sharan

Day 4 – May 16th 2009

OK, to keep it short...Ceska Trebova show WAS ONE FUCKING KILLER!!! Ok, all the bands, listen up! There is one great organizer called Lada here in Trebova, try to contact him and get yourself a gig at a club called Modry Trpaslik aka Blue Dwarf. When you first see the club, you think it's small cottage, but when you enter...underground heaven! Atomic shelter or something like that was redesigned to keep punks and metalheads underground. For the first time, I've heard metalheads saying punx stink like shit...then I just had to teach him a lesson. I just dared him to death metal trivia and, 10 minutes later, after bombing him with old school death metal names, he was ordering drinks for me and singing ''Bosna, Boooosna!'' :D

Lada gave us food and most importantly – free drinks all nite. Not just free beer, but free Božkov, rum, vodka, Pepermint Liker...we all got so devastated we couldn't stand on our feet...

Both shows fucking awesome, support acts were also great, Lada attacked with super noise punk band, he is the main vocalist, and they kicked so much ass, total madness.

We had some serious problems with Lucy, young girl who was CONSTANTLY on the stage while Rapa Nui was playing, so she moshed and pushed us around. Luckily for us, she's young, sweet and really light-weight, so no more serious damage has been done.

OK, this is the morning of 17th day of month May. I'm sitting in Lada's living room, typing this report and just realizing every show gets better and better, tonight we play with legendary INEPSY from Canada at Klub Vrah in Rožnov...I will make you feel it with some photos soon!

Cheers,

Sharan

P.S. Do not mix Pepermint Liker, Gambrinus and local beer, rum and tequila. I forgot where I put my wallet. :D

Day 5 – May 17th 2009

We had some problems getting into Roznov, but getting to a club was no big deal, since Martin, our promoter gave me exact instructions how to arrive safely. I was specially excited about this gig since there was one really great band playing and their name is Inepsy. Inepsy plays rock'n'roll the way it has to be played. Go check 'em out and you'll see what I mean.

Anyway, we arrived at the club around 5 or 6 PM and there was Inepsy sitting all around. We started speaking and it was a nice experience to speak with someone whose English is ok, so we don't have to use sentences like ''go right house left'' anymore.

Sometimes later, Martin The Promoter arrived, and we checked out the club and everything. Pure crust holocaust, Club Vrah is one stinkhole, but fucking great stinkhole, if you ask me. It's a great thing for a city to have a club like this.

So, we started playing sometimes around 8 PM, Rapa Nui went first, Inepsy second and Motherpig, ofcourse, as the headliners, hahahaha :D

Rapa Nui played a great gig, but people were not so much impressed or they usually don't move around during punk gigs. But when Inepsy went on the stage with sick-as-shit bass player (guy was looking as a zombie, totally fucked up), they fucked the whole place up. Fucking awesome show. Their rock'n'roll is what the world needs.

Motherpig – standard basic show. Guys and girls liked us. Some of them even bought some stuff. Oh, yeah, forgot to tell you about this. Tour manager of Inepsy is a guy who's owner of Agipunk, Italian music distro, so Atlija and me, we spent around 100 Euros each buying vinyls of Hellhammer, Hellbastard, Amebix, Alehammer, Misery, Sepultura and so on. Great opportunity and we took it.

Later on we got a bit fucked with the money (we got less than we would ever expected), but having some drinks and talking to Inepsy saved the night. It's great to meet the band who is relaxed and friendly, who is being honest and DIY on and off the stage. Chany, guitarist and singer and I were discussing all night long about influence of Fast Eddie Clarke on Motorhead's and Inepsy music.

I will not say anything about one ''incident'' that happened after the show, since that is a really private band thing, but I will tell you that I will remember Roznov and most of us because of Inepsy. They are fucking great guys, a great friends and if you have a chance to see them live, go, buy t-shirts, vinyls and CD's. Big thanks to Chany and Sam for everything!

Day 6 – May 18th 2009

My voice is fucked up. Sore throat. Luckily for all of us, this is the last gig before the first day off. We're doing a gig in Ostrava, Hellgate Ostrava, city of bands like Malignant Tumour, Needful Things and Cerebral Turbulency.

We arrived at club Bogota after getting lost with our driver. Let me say something about our driver, too late we realized guy is fucking stupid as shit. He can't do anything right without anyone of us pointing the way. We're on the highway and he justs turn right for no appearent reason. Why? Nobody knows. And that way with his fucked up actions, we lost more than half an hour trying to enter center of Ostrava.

But! our driver has some worse habits. He doesn't take a bath. He stinks as shit. Literally. Worst crust punks smell like lillies compared to this guy. So, I fucking went crazy and told him in front of everyone that he needs to take a bath because he smells like shit. He didn't like it, but it worked. Making someone publicly ashamed always works.

We arrived at Bogota and started drinking. Later on, Simek and Bilos from Malignant Tumour joined us for a drink and it was a great experience to meet some old friends. Simek helped a lot with a guarantee letter for Czech visa and me and the boys, we own him a lot. We were discussing show of Malignant Tumour in Sarajevo in September, so save some money, you're gonna need it. The Biggest Band is coming!

Ondra, our friend and organizer brought us Analegs as support act. Basically. Analegs doesn't exist. It's fake name of band called The Neunikneš, one of the greatest and oldest punk bands from Ostrava. Their punk is fucking awesome, go check 'em out.

Motherpig and Rapa Nui played afterward, we did OK shows, nothing special, but no reactions from the audience. To be honest, no real audience, some of them were sitting, some of them playing table football, some of them just standing. Maybe 20 people in the crowd. Lucky for me, since my voice went to hell and didn't come back.

After the show I've had some drinks with Marcel, Fulnek show organizer. Such a great guy. Also, more friends joined for a beer.

We slept at Ondra's girlfriend place. Huge apartment with two dogs (Sheena and Betty), one cat (Garfield) and one SNAKE. It's like a zoo. I would usually mind all the dog hair all around, but I was so wasted and tired, I went to sleep with my face into dog hair with no problem. At least, I'm not a driver, shower is waiting in the morning...

Day 7 – May 19th 2009

First day off. Woke up, had a breakfast. Went to the city center, grabbed a beer. Tried some more Ostravar, local beer. Then Boris, Djafir and I went to a porn shop with a bunch of VHS old school nasty shit german porn which basically didn't make us horny, but made us laugh as crazy. Scheisse this and scheisse that.

We also checked out two music shops in Ostrava, in one I bought some picks since I've lost my fav Jim Dunlop one, Ensar bought travel bag for guitar and the rest of us were just checking out everything since most of it is bloody expensive.

Other shop we saw is called Mondo Bizarro, it's one of those instant-punks-and-metalheads-in-5-minutes- Hot-Topic bullshit shops where you can buy Bullet For My Valentine hoodie, t-shirt, female t-shirt, coffee cup, earrings, wallets, gloves, guitar picks, keychains, name-one-product-yourself, so you can be ultimate fan. Shit.

Skip forward, later on we went to Ondra's house in Bohumin, which is basically Ostrava's suburb. He has a beautiful garden, and we lit a fire at a fire place, gathered around and drank all night long, while trying to bake potatoes. Wonderful day off. Tomorrow – Prague!

Day 8 – May 20th 2009

Prague. Been there in 2007. Huge city, so I suggested we get up early in the morning. We got instructions from Ondra about the fastest way and I told Boris he shall guide Mujo. Mujo The Van Driver got smelly again, so I really didn't have enough nerves to sit next to him for five hour drive.

I feel asleep in the van, and when I woke up, I realized we're completely on the wrong way to Prague, I got pissed, but then again, I fucking didn't care how we will get there, the most important thing was to get there. Anyway...We arrived to Club Jet and meet Karel, our organizer, he's a guitar player of a band called Onanizer. An ugly surprise at the club, there was basically NOTHING. No mics, no stands, no nothing. Luckily for us, we brought in the whole backline and band P.N.S. which drummer and backvocalist Marko is from Belgrade, so we fucking could talk in our language (Marko, jebem te, jesam rekao da uzmes CD besplatno!), they brought mics and one stand. So, there goes a gig with only one guy singing. But, the worst was just about to happen.

Bands, listen up, whole Europe except Czech and Slovakia have the same AC outlets. Czech outlets have some kind of protective pin, so, you can't plug in standard AC cables to it. Which meant only one thing – we can't plug our bass amp. So, the solution was equal to hanging around with Nazis, shouting Sieg Heil (read: SHIT) – we plugged bass to PA. Awful. NEVER DO THAT. NEVER.

We had to finish our gig until 10 PM – I don't know why, so Rapa Nui played only four songs, Motherpig was also fucked up, P.N.S. was way too loud. To be honest, bad show. Not that we're guilty of it. Karel should predict some things like the outlet problem. He must had same situation before. Never to say that he's a bad man, he just didn't get everything set up for us.

Oh, yeah, it's nice to say that I've meet my friend Yarda from Poppy Seed Grinder again, so we had a few beers, and we're meeting tomorrow for a tour over Prague.

Until then...

Cheers,

Sharan

Da se Gera ne zali... :) Ostali, slike su na Myspace blogu Motherpiga (samo tri komada zasad, nemam vremena :( )

Day 9 - May 21st 2009

Got up really late for sightseeing, so we all took a shower (EVEN A DRIVER!!!) and went to stroll thru the city as fast as possible. Prague is so big and beautiful and I just cant explain how much I love the city. So, we had a basic idea of getting some cheap pizza and meeting Yarda in Hostinec, a great pub where I used to drink on Flatline tour in 2007. Boris decided to guide us and we were stupid enough to accept that, because after 5 hours of walking we had our legs falling off and not being able to find a pizzeria, so we all got really pissed and nervous. Luckily, we met Yarda and had (one too) many drinks with him.

Went back to our Prague promoter apartment and had some more beer. Fell asleep as babies.

Day 10 - May 22nd 2009

Ok, time to play, we are on our way to Decin, getting lost from time to time (thank you, Mujo!). Arrived at Decin, met Rene, our promoter who said that is forbidden to drink on the streets. WHAT THE FUCK? Nevertheless, we risked and it paid off. We got fucked up. We played great little club where bunch of rap guys were hanging around and they were really polite toward dirty fucking punks like us.

We played solid shows, not too many people, but good atmosphere and really good sound on and off the stage. After the gig, I got so wasted, I couldnt get in the car, so the guys left and (as far as I remember), totally wasted Atlija and me, along with wasted Djafir and wasted Alex ended up at promoters girlfriend house (???). We got fucked up there with some booze too, and feel asleep like babies. It is necesarry to say the beautiful white dog who was there didnt like me at all, and kept on barking all night. The last thing I remember is Alex kicking this girl ass in Soul Calibur game.

Day 11 - May 23nd 2009

The beautiful sound of vomiting woke me up from short and harsh sleep. Alex was vomiting, got poisoned by some shit. We went the hell outta house and met with the rest of the crew. Had a kebab at chinese restaurant (can it get more irrational???), so we were ok with the food. Jumped in the van, and headed to Sazava, our last gig in Czech Republic.

Sazava, small but great city. We played in skateboardong half pipe in front of maybe 100 people who went fucking nuts during Motherpig show. Lot of Gride fans, and really great people. Have to say that in Sazava we ate really an awesome lunch, fucking swedish table with LOTS AND LOTS of vegetables and (more importantly) fruit. I havent taste any fruit in days, so eating watermelons and oranges was nice, and in a way, new experience for me. Mixing them with BOZKOV rum was also an experience and not a good one, at least for my stomach.

Have to say something more about the bands that played with us in Sazava. P-M-H - fucking ass kickers. Need to get those guys to Sarajevo. Demarche from Prague - FUCKING PUNK LEGENDS. I know them since FUCKING HANGOVER 7 inch release, and I even got to sing chorus of Fucking Hangover song with them. Great people, great friends and great musicians. Not to forget other bands, too, they all were so fucking great.

We slept on the second floor of the club we played at. Not really neat and tidy place, but who cares when youre dead drunk and equiped with sleeping bag??? :)

Our Czech part of the tour is done. I knew when I get up in the morning I will leave one of my fav countries in the world and nothing will be the same. What I didnt know that we will have bunch of fucking, and when I say fucking, I mean FUCKING problems in the future...more about that soon enough!

Cheers,

Sharan

P.S. Big excuse to everyone for keeping reports short. Our laptop fucking died on us and we dont have internet access every day, so Im keeping it short as hell. Sorry, everyone!

Živi! :) Evo jedne recenzije, nađoh na netu :)

http://www.minacious.org/rev-agathocles ... osphy.html

Agathocles start off the split with their brand of old school Grind mixed with some classic Hardcore brutality. Motherpig is up next this is my first encounter with Motherpig and it is a good one! The band has a more straightforward Grind approach but does have a lot of the old school influences mixed into their brutal style. Raw screams and shrieks mixed with raw intense Metal. The production also has the old school feel to it not horrible by any means but still a raw/dirty sound before all the newer bands started to go with the more polished/clear sounds.

To je to :)

Vijesti:

Hey, people! How are ya? I sat down to write some news down so all of you can update on current Motherpig's works...so, let's start off...

I didn't realize this until I saw it with my own two eyes today - Motherpig has ended up on compilation called ''The Land of The Damned (A Tribute to Darkthrone)'' which is released as a free download by Canadian label Deadknife Records. This compilation was on hiatus (I think so), but it finally got released! So, this is the tracklist...

Image

1. Devilwork - Land Of Frost (1:34)
2. Dhul-Qarnayn - Order of the Ominous (4:35)
3. Gas Masked Lestat - Transylvanian Hunger (5:44)
4. Inferior God - I En Hall Med Flesk Og Mjød (5:16)
5. EXTREMATICA - God of Disturbance Friction (1:52)
6. TSIDMZ - En As I Dype Skogen (6:08)
7. Deadskin - Raining Murder (2:30)
8. Sick To The Back Teeth - Unholy Black Metal (3:28)
9. Motherpig - Too Old Too Cold (2:57)

I must warn you that this compilations is all the way experimental, bands really covered Darkthrone in its own way, so if you're a black metalhead lookin' for some real ''just-played-note-by-note'' covers - you may get dissapointed and even angry. So, I suggest to you to be careful while listening :)

If you want to download it, you can grab it @ http://www.archive.org/details/Dead0285 ... hrone-2009

There are some more releases done. We have self-released the following two releases:

A JE TO SPLIT DVD - Our first DVD. It is recorded performance from A JE TO FEST 2009. Two cameras, really blurry, great sound. It's real hell. As a bonus features, you get photo gallery and our complete show when we supported Napalm Death (without guitar player). Now, you probably wonder why is this SPLIT DVD - it is SPLIT DVD because on the same DVD there is Rapa Nui's performance from A JE TO FEST 2009 and some RAPA NUI's bonus features such as photo gallery, FIS FEST 2007 performance and video clip for the song ''Bolitekurac Reality Show''. To order it, send an e-mail to Ensar of Rapa Nui to nadja.salchin@gmail.com or catch us up during the show.

MOTHERPIG TOUR 2009 COMPILATION - Specially designed and compiled CD. It consists of 14 tracks that were part of our playlist during European Tour that happened last month. This CD is really not a thing we will sell anymore. It was done specially for the tour, so who bought it, bought it. Who got it for free...well, those are some lucky sons of bitches! :)))

That's it for now. We have some more plans for some feature releases and we started working on songs for our first full lenght which will be done this year or in 2010.

I will let you know everything when the time comes...

Cheers,

Sharan
